Angel Brownlee, is the Founder of Temple Road Yoga in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Yoga Therapist, she understands that each person brings a unique perspective to the mat and so yoga can benefit everyone when taught in an adaptive way. Her yoga classes are a place to welcome discovery, insight and inquiry while practicing asana, breath, mantra and mudra.
She offers yoga therapy with specialized training in trauma, addiction recovery, pain care, and hospice. Angel teaches group yoga therapy at a neurological rehabilitation facility for individuals who are recovering from traumatic brain injuries. She is also responsible for the daily operations of Temple Road Yoga including teacher training, classes, retreats and workshops.
Angel has been teaching yoga for 15+ years and is a Certified Yoga Therapist with IAYT and member of Yoga Alliance. She holds certifications in Pain Care Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Integral Anatomy and Yoga for Addiction. She is currently enrolled in the School for Accompanying the Dying and mentorship program with Deanna Cochran.
In 2014, Angel teamed up with Clinical Psychologist and Yoga Therapist, Dr. Mandy Jordan to create what would become Lotus Rising Yoga Therapy, for the purpose of expanding their vision to share trauma-sensitive yoga and group therapy teacher trainings nationally. Lotus Rising Women’s Group, is a trauma-sensitive yoga and group therapy series held monthly for women with a history of trauma.
Angel is deeply grateful for the wisdom and support of her teachers. Michelle Andrie, Kira Sloane, Neil Pearson, Swami Lisa Pearson, Deanna Cochran, and Erich Schiffmann have all influenced her teaching style.
Advanced yoga happens within our closest relationships. Angel is blessed with a loving, supportive husband, Brandyn and their five beautiful children.
